Learning Center
We provide a rich learning center with curricula that are developmentally appropriate to the specific ages in each classroom. We have a flexible day routine that allows children to advance at their own pace.
We strongly believe that learning happens through the art of playing. Learning and exploring are hands-on and are facilitated through interest areas. Our program is designed to enhance children’s development in the following areas: creativity, self-expression, decision-making, problem-solving, responsibility, independence, and reasoning.
Curricula & Assessment
NMB Tiny Hands Academy uses the High Scope Curriculum. The High Scope Curriculum is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that promotes exploration and discovery as a way of learning while focusing on the interests of each child.
Along with this curriculum, we gather information about each child’s developmental abilities and evaluate progress so we can modify and adjust what we are doing in our classroom to deliver the best individualized instruction for each child. This evaluation is communicated to families periodically during the school year using various formal and informal tools, forms, and resources.
We strongly believe that a combination of various learning methods positively impacts our children. To effectively follow our curriculum we use a rotary system. That way our children can focus more on specific tasks as they move throughout their day in designated areas.
